MATO started in 2019 in Venice, Italy.

All pieces are handmade by Matilde Dal Bianco, using reclaimed leather scraps sourced from friends, markets, and tanneries in the Veneto region. No scrap is too small to be reused!

Shapes and color combinations are designed to be one-of-a-kind and not replicated.

Each accessory begins as a doodle. The names of the designs are inspired by what the drawing brings to mind — often animals, plants, or natural shapes.
